Linkr V3 is out now! Economy, XP Boosts, Replies, and More!
This feature is NEW! 🔥 Fresh right out of the update
Ever wonder "Where did that message come from?" Well with Message lookup you wont need to!
How does that Even work?
When you send a message to Linkr Network the message gets not only logged by us for moderation reasons but as of Version 3 they also have certain information put in our lookup database, this information can be found via our lookup
How do i find the lookup data?
You can do this via the /lookup message command, all you need to do is provide the message ID of any relay of the message and we'll return the followingÂ
Username: The actual username of the sender
Channel Name: The channel name where the original message was sent
Original Message ID: The ID of the original message
Server: The name of the server where the original message was sent
UserID: The ID Of the sender
Hidden/Non existant lookup data
Not every relay message ID will provide data, this could be for the following reasons
Non Existent: This occurs if Linkr doesnt have any sort of data on the message this could be if its not a valid message id, not a relayed message, or it was broadcasted before V3
Privacy Protected: This message has no data inside the lookup database other than having the messageid attributed as "hidden" this essentially means it was sent while someone had Lookup Privacy Enabled, even if the user disables Lookup Privacy the lookup will not show the data as it doesnt have it.
Privacy Enabled: This message was sent when Lookup privacy was disabled however however the lookup will not show you the data because the sender currently has lookup privacy enabled.
How do i hide myself from the lookup
If you dont want anyone to lookup your messages with /lookup message than you can turn on Lookup Privacy this will have all of your new messages sent marked as "hidden" along with it not storing that data in the lookup database meaning no one will ever be able to see the data for that message with the lookup even if you disable lookup privacy, additionally any previous messages you sent with it disabled will not be able to be viewed untill lookup privacy is disabled again.
This does not stop the collection of our moderation logs which are only accessed via Linkr Staff which includes: The Developer/Owner, Linkr Mods, Linkr Sr Mods, etc.
To turn on Lookup privacy you can run /lookup privacy
If you ever want to disable lookup privacy simply run /lookup privacy again
